The Indian Mynah was stupidly introduced into Australia around the 1930's by some moron apparently wanting a bird to eat more insects (incredibly an Indian introduced them to Canberra because he thought it was too quiet and wanted to be reminded of home - seriously The cold should have killed them off, but they can find protection in buildings and governments refuse to allow them to be exterminated - depsite being a proscribed pest)
Somehow, this Indian mynah bird has managed to mysteriously appear in ALL our major capital cities
There is only one way this could have happened and that is through deliberate release
To unleash this foreign pest onto our naive habitat is like deliberately spreading the ebola virus as a public health exercise
it is insanity
These birds obviously like the mild Australian climate and breed multiple times per year - up to 4 chicks at a time!!
Incredibly all government,s state, local and federal make it a criminal offence to save Aussie birds from this foreign pest
So the nest time you hear some politician bleating about how important our environment is (like a carbon tax etc), or how important the tourist dollar is - ask them what they are doing about the Indian Mynah overtaking every tree in very street in every suburb - and simply destroying ALL native bird life in Australia
Australia has some of the worlds most incredible birds - and yet not one government agency has ANY interest in protecting them from the Indian myanh predation
Aside from that these Indian Mynahs never shutup - making noise form the crack of dawn to the end of dusk and then regularly through the night
They really are as toxic as Ebola on the environment
In Sydney recently we had a wonderful Aussie cockatoo next in the city - in a building awning
What do you think the response of the council and state government was?
No not to capture and protect - but instead to hire shooters to blow its brains out
Meanwhile thee same morons protect the Indian mynah pest - a combination of rats and canetoads with wings
Government refuse to fund the eradication of Indian mynah birds - with bounties for example
They threaten anybody who touches them
They refuse to protect our native fauna
They refuse to protect our native wildlife
They make suburbs inhabitable because of the sheer number and associated noise of these parasite birds
It s beyond comprehension how deliberately destructive ALL arms of government and environmental groups are in relation to this bird
Tourists visiting Australia are ncreasingly guaranteed to have their formerly peaceful holiday spot, ruined by the relentless squawking f this pest bird - which drives out all native birds
There needs to be an urgent public awareness campaign against these birds and bounties offered for their removal and destruction - on a permanent basis
To watch Australians wilfully promoting anther cane toad style ecological disaster, only this time of the avian time - is not only unbelievable, but utterly irresponsible and disgusting
Even aboriginal groups have nothing to say
Stop wasting money building idiotic windmills and sponsoring illegal immigrants as refugees and actually start saving Australia, instead of destroying it
